Listen...

I am reading this book names "The Magic of Thinking Big" and I found one good phrase over here.

Big People monopolize the listening
Small People monopolize the talking

A good listener will be able to think deeply, and absorb information faster than a talkative people. When a conflict occurs, a smart leader will always be there to listen to others before making decision. He will know to gather ideas and receives information before taking the next step. Of course, he is not expecting others to give a ready-made perfect solution, but gathering information is always the crucial part to spark new ideas.
Don’t feel shy to ask. Requesting advice doesn’t mean that you are not capable to cope the problem. Wise man will ask “How do you feel about it” or “What do you think about this idea?” and ready to accept criticism. To lead a group, lead a trend, you must know what is in others people mind. There is why market survey and questionnaire works before inventing a new product or service.
A person who is not willing to listen will never improve. Listening is not difficult. But not everyone can do that.One day when we’ve become somebody on top level, don’t forget to practice listening. Listen to advice, listen to subordinates' feeling, listen to bad comments, listen to improve.
